Dr. Keith Biggs

Dr. Biggs earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina-Asheville and was awarded a Doctorate of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he was distinguished as the top graduating student for excellence in primary care. Dr. Biggs completed externships in primary care, contact lenses, pediatrics, low vision, and vision therapy.

He is our contact lens specialist at Summit Eye Care, specializing in scleral and gas permeable lenses, managing and fitting specialty contact lenses for patients with Keratoconus, corneal ectasia, and dry eye disease.

Dr. Biggs is the director of our Dry Eye Center and specializes in treating different types of ocular surface disease. He uses sophisticated diagnostic procedures to determine the exact type of complex dry eye condition the patient suffers from, and employs the most advanced technology for individualized efficient and effective treatment.
Dr. Biggs is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the North Carolina Optometric Society.

He grew up in Asheville, North Carolina, but has recently relocated and now lives in Winston-Salem with his wife Brittney, and their three children. In his free time, Dr. Biggs enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and of course, the North Carolina Tar Heels.
