Dr. Vic Khemsara

Dr. Vic Khemsara received his medical degree from University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 1997. He completed his internship at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, and his residency training  in ophthalmology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He expanded his education in his specialty with advanced training and a fellowship in glaucoma and anterior segment surgery at Emory University in Atlanta. Dr. Khemsara is an active medical staff member at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He is a Fellow of the American Board of Ophthalmology and The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.

Dr. Khemsara has trained with some of the most experienced glaucoma and refractive surgeons across the nation. He has performed thousands of eye surgeries using the most advanced techniques to treat patients with refractive issues, glaucoma, and cataract. 

He is one of the most experienced and sought out ophthalmologic surgeons in the region.  Dr. Khemsara provides his patients with exceptional surgical and clinical expertise, delivered with compassion and warmth. After thoroughly diagnosing and evaluating his patient’s condition, he carefully explains the risks, benefits, and alternatives of proposed treatment options, and prepares them completely for the necessary follow-up steps. He is never too busy to answer his patients’ questions or personally address their concerns.

Dr. Khemsara is committed to the tenets of his deeply-held Christian faith. He cares for his patients with medical excellence kindness, and grace in fulfillment of his calling as servant and healer. He and his wife have two children and are members of Two Cities Church.
