Henry Black, PA-C

Henry graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences in 2018. After graduation, Henry worked with us here at Summit Eye Care as an ophthalmic assistant and scribe. In 2022, he graduated from Duke University with a Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies and is now a board certified Physician Assistant.

After completing his professional training, he worked in the fields of nephrology and urologic oncology in Raleigh, NC. Ultimately his fascination with ophthalmology led him back to Summit Eye Care. His particular interests are in the medical management of diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and dry eye disease.

In his free time, he enjoys hiking, bird watching, reading, and watching Duke basketball.

Henry is a native of Winston Salem and is excited to return to the area to serve the community.
